The Angel waterfall with 979 mts height is the highest waterfall in the world. Several "Tepuy", which means mountain in aborigins dialect, are table shaped mountains with 2000 to 3000 million years old.

In the Caraima National Park, where the Tepuy Mountains are found it is also found more than six thousand species of plants - some unique- and around 500 varieties of orquids, which is also the Venezuelan national flower.
